A song for Tuesday: Jean Sibelius’ Impromptu no. 5, op.5 for the piano

My student Joe is learning this lovely piece by Jean Sibelius. Sibelius is a Finnish composer born in 1865. He composed music that falls into the late Romantic period. Such is Sibelius’ genius that there is an extremely important piece of music software named after him!

Joe is performing a duet with me at the SE22 Piano Recital this Sunday, we are playing Dvorak’s 8th Slavonic which was yesterday’s song of the day.
