Students preparing for graded examinations with ABRSM or Trinity will be attending extra lessons with our dedicated Aural & Ear Training teacher, Terezie Holmerova. Terezie is a concert pianist and teacher. She runs a weekly drop-in session at Junior Trinity Laban Music College where she does aural drop-in sessions and helps to prepare Trinity Junior students for their graded exams.
If you would like to book an aural session with Terezie, please enquire with your teacher. Terezie will assess your aural skills and readiness for your graded exam and then provide a plan of action to be worked on at home and in combination with Hofnote. Additional sessions can be booked at any time throughout the year.
Each session is lasts for an hour and costs £40.
The aural section for ABRSM is worth 18 marks out of 150 which is 12% of the total marks. With the required preparation, it is often much easier to gain a higher mark on aural than it is on the sight-reading section.
