Performing at Steinway Hall, London – EPTA Event

I went to a one-day performance event at Steinway Hall in Marylebone with fellow teacher Frances Wilson and my student Peter.

We had been looking forward to this event ever since Kathryn from EPTA contacted us with details of the masterclass. I was the first to register! I was thrilled that we would have the opportunity of a masterclass with Murray McLachlan as well as the chance to play an incredible Steinway Model D piano.

Murray McLachlan is an internationally renowned concert pianist, writer, adjudicator, artistic director and he is also Head of Keyboard Studies at Chetham’s, a specialist music school for talented young musicians. When I was looking through some old certificates from music festivals, I noticed that he adjudicated me way back in 1996 when I was 17!
