The New Year is nearly upon us and this means there are lots of exciting piano and music-related events coming up for our students at the SE22 Piano School. Here’s a calendar of events for 2013 and beyond. Registration is open for all of the events listed below.
SE22 Piano School Family Concert, Sunday 27 January 2013 – Alleyn’s School
As featured in January’s Living South magazine.
Prospective students are invited to come along and hear our students, teachers and local musicians perform in a family-friendly classical music event.
School Trip to Finchcocks Musical Museum, Sunday May 19th
Open to students of any age that are studying towards graded exams. Come and play the wonderful collection of over 100 antique harpsichords and pianos at this beautiful Georgian Mansion. Finchcocks is one of the few musical museums in Europe which allows visitors to play the instruments. Keyboard players of all ages and abilities gain unforgettable experience playing instruments identical to those the famous composers knew.
Students will have a guided tour and plenty of opportunities to play all the instruments throughout the morning session. Bring along lots of different pieces to try out! The masterclass is led by the Finchcocks Educational Team. After lunch, you will hear professional musicians perform in a short recital.

Dulwich Piano Festival, 22 & 23 June – Alleyn’s School

Entries are now open for the 2013 Dulwich Piano Festival. The event is organised by the SE22 Piano School and sponsored by the Inter Schools Advertiser. It is open to amateur pianists within the South London area. 2013 adjudicators are Graham Fitch and Frances Wilson.
2014 Winter Recital
Would you believe there is already a date in the diary for the 2014 Winter Recital as the venue where we will hold this is booked up months in advance. This will be held on Saturday 25th January 2014 at All Saints Church in West Dulwich, a venue that hosts many classical music events. Tickets are available online only from We Got Tickets. Performers numbers are limited for each concert.
